May 8, 2024

On May 31 Padova Congress will host the convention organized by the Italian Society of Vascular Medicine. “The appointment,” explains Professor Giampiero Avruscio, Chairman of the Congress, Director of the UOC of Angiology of the Azienda Ospedaliera di Padova and President of the Italian Society of Vascular Medicine Triveneta, “is addressed to an audience not only of medical specialists in the field, because today if we want to respond adequately and effectively to the problem of acute and chronic arterial and veno-lymphatic vascular diseases, which have a high prevalence in the population, especially among the elderly, we need a multidisciplinary and multiprofessional approach, with the integrated skills of physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, in the context of continuity in hospital-territory assistance, without neglecting the psychological and social aspects that these diseases involve.

Professionals from outside the region will also participate: the contents of the conference are part of the training program of the Level II University Master’s Degree in Angiology and the University Advanced Training Course in Vascular Echocolordoppler. The conference will feature talks by distinguished speakers, among the leading experts on the topics covered by the congress.

“Pupils and speakers,” Avruscio concludes, “will be able to stay in the city and also enjoy the cultural as well as scientific treasures of Padua, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site as Urbs Picta.”
