Precisely in the year in which the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua is celebrated, Padova Congress – and the nearby pavilion 11 – are going to host the prestigious World Congress Computational Intelligence WCCI. The international congress, a global reference for research on artificial intelligence, sees Professor Alessandro Sperduti of the Mathematics department of the University of Padua as its conference chair.
Organized in Padua following an international selection that featured prestigious locations from around the world including China and Japan, it groups under a single event three different conferences that are held separately. These are the International Joint Conference on Neural Network (in acronym IJCNN), the International Fuzzy Systems Conference (in acronym FUZZ-IEEE), the IEEE Congress on evolutionary computation. More than 2,000 participants from all over the world are expected with a very significant revenues for the city of Padua.
The candidacy was accepted thanks to intense work between the University of Padua, the Rembel Group, organizer of the event, Padova Hall and Padua Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The world congress will also be accompanied, on 19 July, by the AI Forum 2022, the most important event on artificial intelligence for businesses with workshops, innovation talks, meetings and an expo area dedicated to innovative solutions.
Not only that: on the occasion of the WCCI, a special day entitled #INNOAI is scheduled for 21 July: dedicated to an innovative comparison between the main Italian competence centers and companies and professionals. The main themes will be research, innovation and development of the Italian business world based on Industry 4.0 and NRPP.
