The annual Italian Knowledge Leaders event, now in its third year, honors opinion leaders -university professors, researchers, physicians, professionals – who have distinguished themselves as the “ambassadors of intellectual capital” of our country. Especially in the organization of congress events of international caliber, recognizing their commitment not only in the field of research, but also in the service of the academic community and the territory. Precisely thanks to the strong synergy between Padua Congress, the city’s convention center, and the Padua Convention & Visitors Bureau (a tourism and convention promotion organization with the Chamber of Commerce as a majority partner), Padua is quickly climbing the rankings of the most interesting and most often used cities for international association congresses.
«These awards confirm the excellent work being done in Padua in the meetings industry to help make the city one of the leading ‘destinations of knowledge’ in Italy,” says Stefania De Toni, Manager of Padua Congress and board member of Federcongressi & Eventi. “Thanks to the synergy with the University and the Padua Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the participation of the best academic and scientific talents in important and prestigious international conferences, we aim to increase the importance and number of events of this kind held in our area».
