Padua Congress increasingly confirms itself as one of the reference venues for medical-scientific congresses: in the past few weeks it hosted the International Congress of the European Academy of Paediatrics (EAP) and the MasterCouse on the topic of ‘The acutely ill child’.
These two scientific appointments are the result of a close synergy between the EAP, the Italian Society of Paediatrics and the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health of Padua, three institutions that share their fundamental mission, that of promoting and protecting the physical and psychological health of newborns, children and adolescents, of every culture and ethnic group, defending their rights. The event in Padua was attended by 761 paediatricians from 69 countries on all continents. The largest presence, like that of Italy, was that of specialists from the Philippines and Australia.
The authority of the speakers and moderators, the active contributions of many participants with oral and poster presentations and the great interaction in the hall made this event a real success.
Particularly significant was the active participation of many young people from all over the world, whose commitment and preparation are and will be crucial for the health of tomorrow’s girls and boys.
