EcotechGreen, the 13th edition of the International Forum at Padova Congress

Apr 12, 2022

The EcotechGreen International Forum – Biophilic City, scheduled 21 and 22 April at Padova Congress, is an important and established appointment that puts ecology, nature and technology for sustainability and the landscape at the center of the debate.

Organized by Paysage – promotion and development for Landscape Architecture and Fiera di Padova in collaboration with the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservationists, the National Council of Engineers, the National Council of Agronomists and Foresters, the National Council of Agricultural Technicians and the National Council of Agricultural Experts, as well as all the other professional orders in the sector, the Forum is one of the most important events in the green technology and urban sector. This edition, full of new and exciting ideas, confirms its calling to promote projects and research on landscape architecture, focusing on nature and greenery in general as the primary element to be developed inside the various sectors, a central theme for both Italian and European policies.

On the topic of climate change, the landscape project can and must play a decisive role and for this reason, as indicated in the European Parliament resolution, nature-based solutions and sustainable urban development strategies must be increasingly implemented. Therefore, green technology is not just a vertical garden but rather a process that can be integrated into new building forms, able to start a true fertilization of the city.

Kicking off the first day will be Kengo Kuma who, from Japan will present the project for the Padua Centro Congressi of the Fiera di Padova, the privileged venue of the International Forum, which will open the season of cultural events and congresses in the city. Kuma will then discuss symbioses between nature and architecture, the beating heart of the Forum.

Following the presentations of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan by the Minister of Economy and the forest and green strategies in Europe by the MEP Eleonora EviPatrizia Salvaterra, from Milan, will present the new European platform Nature4Cities.

Panels presenting prestigious and innovative international projects will follow.

At the conclusion of the second day of work, the winners and presentation of the third edition of the EcotechGreen Award will be announced. This award aims to give important recognition to projects presented in the various sections, with over 70 projects in the running.
